Für ein Foto, das bei einem Shooting für das Girls Girls Girls Magazin entstanden ist, wird Schauspielerin Rachel McAdams nun von tausenden Usern im Netz gefeiert. Die 40-Jährige ist heuer zum ersten Mal Mutter geworden. Nur sechs Monate nach der Geburt ihres Sohnes wurde die Schauspielerin für ein Fashion-Shooting für das US-Magazin gebucht. Die Fotografin Claire Rothstein hat nun einen Schnappschuss des Shootings auf Instagram gepostet, auf dem Rachel McAdams mit einer Milchpumpe an ihrer Brust zu sehen ist.

In einem Outfit von Versace und einer Diamantenkette von Bulgari posiert die frischgebackene Mama vor der Kamera. Ein ganz besonderes Detail: Rachel McAdams pumpt dabei gleichzeitig Milch für ihr Baby ab. Die Fotografin Claire Rothstein wollte dieses Foto nun unbedingt auf Instagram teilen. Denn die Schauspielerin setzt damit ein klares Zeichen: Stillen und Milch abpumpen ist etwas völlig Normales und gehört zum Muttersein einfach dazu. „Wir wissen nicht mehr genau, wer auf die Idee kam, sie mit der Milchpumpe zu fotografieren, aber ich bin sicher, es war ihre. Stillen ist das Natürlichste auf der Welt und ich kann mir absolut nicht erklären, wie das jemand abstoßend oder eklig finden kann. Dieses Foto muss eigentlich gar nicht genau erklärt werden, ich will es einfach mit allen teilen“, schreibt Claire Rothstein unter ihren Post und bekommt dafür unzählige Likes. Vor allem Mütter sind von dem Foto von Rachel McAdams Statement begeistert und feiern die Schauspielerin für ihren offenen Umgang mit dem Thema.

A million reasons why I wanted to post this picture. Obviously #rachelmcadams looks incredible and was quite literally the dream to work with but also this shoot was about 6 months post her giving birth to her son, so between shots she was expressing/pumping as still breastfeeding. We had a mutual appreciation disagreement about who’s idea it was to take this picture but I’m still sure it was hers which makes me love her even more. Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of. I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great. Besides she’s wearing Versace and Bulgari diamonds and is just fucking major.
